2nd - Rotary Club dinner and auction - Elks Lodge.  Fundraiser for the Band Shell.

23rd - St. Joe Snow Riders "Morey Hedlund Memorial" Ride - Registration at the Clarkia Bar (J&E Stop) from 8:30am-10am.  $5 per hand - last hand must be in by 5pm.  Ride is approximately 60 miles of groomed trail.                Idaho State registration required, no groomer stickers necessary. 30th- Idaho Saddle Club Assoc (ISCA) Spring Round-Up - St Maries


 20th - St. Maries Junior Miss - Held at the Heyburn Gym at 7pm.  St. Maries High School Juniors compete for scholarships, prizes and the local title. The St. Maries winner goes on to compete for the state title. Contact Kristy Wear, 582-0644, or Shelly McGregor, 582-0892.

17th, 18th & 19th - "Race the Joe" .  Jet boat races on the St Joe River

Memorial Day Weekend - Fisherman's Breakfast - Avery. Annual fisherman's breakfast, Avery Community Center. Breakfast Saturday of Memorial weekend, opening of trout season.


8th- Free Fishing Day - Idaho's Free Fishing Day is an annual event held the second Saturday in June. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) invites novice anglers of all ages (residents and nonresidents alike) to celebrate the day by fishing any public waters in Idaho without a license.

8th - St Joe River Super Kid River Run - Children 12 and younger are invited to participate in the St. Joe Super Kids Run. The 1.2 mile race is part of the annual St. Joe Marathon.

9th - St Joe River Marathon - Third annual marathon, half marathon and 5K race in St Maries.  Race will begin at 8am at the Cormana Building and follow the railroad grade up the St Joe River.  For more information, email

14th - St Maries Chamber of Commerce annual Banquet & Auction, "Margaritaville"

14th - Father's Day Bake Sale, City Hall sidewalk, 9am-12pm.  Proceeds to help cover Centennial Celebration expenses.

20th - St Joe Valley Car Club Show & Shine.

3rd & 4th - Boat Club Poker Run - St. Maries. Boat Poker run starts on the St. Joe River in St. Maries traveling to the designated stops on Lake Coeur d' Alene then Harrison to turn in your hands. Prizes awarded. Annual event sponsored by the St Joe River Boat Club.

10th - Rotary Family Fun Day and City Centennial Celebration, city park.  Free barbeque - games and activities for the whole family.

Labor Day Weekend - Paul Bunyan Days - St. Maries. Three days of Logger competition, food booths, carnival rides and games. Other activities include a Car Club breakfast and evening dance,  parade, swim pool events, Idaho's largest "topless" beer bar (no roof), and a great fireworks show Sunday night.

8th- Christmas Gala for Benewah Community Hospital, includes gourmet refreshments, dinner, and chance to win a fully decorated Christmas tree as well as beautiful gift baskets.
