Paul Bunyan Days

Paul Bunyan Days is a 4 day celebration of our logging history in St. Maries, Idaho.  Labor Day Weekend in St. Maries, Idaho comes alive with the annual celebration. We have several food and craft vendors, a carnival (Davis Shows North West), logging and pool events, bed and outhouse races, Tug of War, Motor Cycle Enduro Cross which is held close by at the Benewah County Fair Grounds.  Lawn Mower races, a very popular event, was added in 2009.  We have possibly the largest Labor Day Fireworks display in the inland North West on Sunday evening, which draws an estimated crowd of 12,000 spectators. On Monday, we have our Parade, which is over 1 mile long and growing each year.   Plan to shop St. Maries sidewalk sales for great bargains. The city park boasts "The Biggest Topless Bar in Idaho" called the Blue Ox (the beer garden doesn't have a roof).  There is one motel and numerous Bed & Breakfast's to stay the weekend. Along the town's two rivers, the St. Maries and the St. Joe, there are ample camping opportunities. Labor Day Weekend plan to visit St. Maries and have some fun.
